● How are Masjid organizations paired?

Once a representative from Masjid organization registers their organization, they are presented with a number of Masjid organizations within driving distance. They select the one that they'd like to visit and send a visit request. Once the visit request is approved by the other Masjid organization and a date is set for the visit, they will be asked to reciprocate the visit either on the same day or on another day.

● Does my Masjid have to pay anything to get paired with another Masjid?

No, there is no fee to get paired with another Masjid and you do not have to share any portion of the collection made during the visit.

● Is any Masjid able to register or are there any restrictions?

For a Masjid to register, it must:

• Be located within one of the four specified regions in the USA and Canada.
• Have a minimum of 400 attendees at its Jumuah congregation, or at least that should be the total when all congregations are added together if multiple Jumuah congregations are held.
• Be a registered charity in the USA or Canada that is able to issue tax receipts.

● What prepartions are needed ahead of visiting another Masjid?

When you are enrolled in this initiative and are ready to host and visit other Masjid organizations for Jumuah collections:

• Prepare a small team of volunteers from your Masjid to drive over to the other Masjid for collection. It is recommended to have both  brothers and sisters available to coordinate the collections at all exits of the Masjid being visited.
• Bring with you your debit/credit machines. Note that sometimes the hosting machine requires all visiting Masjid organizations to use the host Masjid's machines to process donations. In this case, the host Masjid would arrange transferring the collected funds to the visiting Masjid.
• Be prepared to say a few words after/before the Jumuah prayer.
• In some cases, arrangements would try to be made to invite a guest imam to deliver the khutbah before the collection.
