Many Masjid and Islamic Centres raise 2-5 times more after a Jumuah prayer when they are hosting another Masjid than when they are raising for their own congregation.
This Ramadan (March 2025), join a cohort of 5 Masjid organizations within driving distance of each other and exchange visits during Jumuah and/or Taraweeh prayers.
Currently accepting submissions for Masjid organizations that are in the Windsor, ON – Québec City, QC corridor (covers major cities in between such as London, Toronto and surroundings, Ottawa, and Montreal)
For a Masjid to register and be part of a cohort, we must ensure it fulfills certain criteria.
Masjid must be a registered charity in Canada that is able to issue tax receipts
Must have at least 500 Jumuah congregants (across all congregations if multiple Jumuah’s are held)
Must be within the Windsor, ON – Québec City, QC corridor (includes London, Toronto and surroundings, Ottawa, and Montreal)
Each Registered Masjid is placed in a cohort of 5 Masjids within driving distance from each other
Every Tuesday during Ramadan, each Masjid visits a Masjid and hosts another Masjid during Taraweeh prayers
Every Tuesday of Ramadan (March 2025), each Masjid will visit another Masjid in the same cohort for fund collections during Taraweeh prayers. At the same time, each Masjid will also be hosting another Masjid. That way, by the end of Ramadan, each Masjid will have visited and hosted 4 other Masjids, insha’a Allah.
Note: It's fine if two Masjid organizations agree on visiting each other on another day of the week, other than Tuesday.
Hossam Amin, from ANFIQ, will be placing registered Masjid organizations into their designated cohorts and scheduling the Masjid visits within each cohort. If two Masjid organizations want to make adjustments to the set schedule, they are free to communicate with each other and make their desired changes.
